Benchmark Your Business Strategy
How does your 2010 business strategy compare with those developed by other management executives facing a similar business climate? How does it compare to your 2009 business strategy and how satisfied were you with the outcome of your 2009 business strategy?
Helping executives answer these questions in a thought-provoking and useful manner is the goal of our 2010 business strategy benchmarking survey. Executives are likely to find completing this survey helps them think critically about specific business initiatives that should constitute their business strategy and where they should invest their limited time, capital, and people to maximize business performance.
We understand your time is a premium, the survey should take 10-15 minutes or less to complete. To show our appreciation for your participation in our 2010 business strategy benchmarking survey, we will provide you with a copy of our 2010 benchmarking report (anticipated for release in the second quarter of 2010) at no cost to you. The report will provide a summary of our findings as well as detail on how specific industries and companies are preparing to engage the 2010 business environment.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS SURVEY?
Management-level individuals that have primary responsibility for or direct involvement with development of their company’s corporate, business unit level, or department level strategy.
WILL I BE REQUIRED TO DISCLOSE MY NAME OR MY COMPANY IDENTITY?
No. You are under no obligation to disclose the identity of your or your company.
However, the authors of this survey may be interested in contacting a select number of survey participants to discuss their answers and gain additional detail and specific examples that may be included in the final report (you and your company’s identity will not be revealed in the report). Incorporating the insights developed from these follow-up interviews often provides an additional dimension of relevancy to the final report and enhances the benefits your company can receive from participating in the survey. If you are interested in being considered for a follow-up interview, you will have to indicate this and provide appropriate contact information at the end of the survey.
HOW IS THE SURVEY DESIGNED?
The survey is broken down into two primary sections. The first section covers your company’s strategy in 2009. The second section covers your company strategy for 2010.
Each section contains a number of statements and asks you to use a rating scale to indicate your level of agreement or disagreement. These questions are followed by a strategy diagnostic that allows you to select business initiatives from our strategy database that compromise your company’s strategy. These business initiatives were developed based on our experience working collaboratively with management executives and are grouped in three categories: business growth, managing annual operating costs, and operational improvement.
