Contact: Michele Flournoy Founding Principal of management consulting firm First Hawthorn Group recognized in San Diego Metropolitan Magazine’s “40 under 40”San Diego, CA – Chad Creviston, Founder and Principal of management consulting firm, First Hawthorn Group, was named to San Diego Metropolitan Magazine’s 2010 “40 Under 40”. Each year San Diego Metro Magazine gathers a panel of longstanding community leaders to examine the pool of local citizens nominated for this prestigious award. They seek to identify the most impressive and influential individuals less than forty years of age in the greater San Diego area. The 11th annual selection recognized some of the region’s most accomplished professionals, highlighting leaders in all fields, from finance and marketing to law and medicine. Mr. Creviston, recognized as an accomplished leader in the management consulting profession, has successfully advised his clients on critical issues including: business strategy, operations, and organization. Having started his consulting career working in BearingPoint's Business Strategy practice, which was established by several ex-partners from McKinsey & Company, Creviston was later inspired by his training with the United States Marine Corps to launch a management consulting practice that helps businesses improve their economic performance while building their leadership capacity. In 2008, he founded First Hawthorn Group to carry forward that mission. In addition to professional achievement, the “40 Under 40” selection committee places a high importance on community involvement. Mr. Creviston frequently conducts pro-bono consulting projects for local non-profits, sponsors the San Diego Harvard Business School CEO Forum and serves as a foster parent for the San Diego Labrador Rescuers animal rescue. The unique combination of business and civic leadership was the common thread linking those honored at the “40 Under 40” luncheon. “It’s an extraordinary honor to be recognized with so many outstanding individuals,” said Mr. Creviston, “this accomplishment reinforces what I love about being part of the San Diego community and working with leading organizations in San Diego and throughout California.”
